Digital reality software services provider Hexagon AB recently announced the winners of its third “Sixth Sense” cohort for advanced manufacturing startups: Flexxbotics and Zaptic. Enhancements to the NCSIMUL software, that serves as a digital twin of a specific machine to plan and optimize its numerical control (NC) programming, enable machinists to determine the location of the 5-axis singularity point and avoid it for the first time. In a recent collaborative effort with FORCE Technology and Hexagon Manufacturing Intelligence using ESPRIT additive toolpath programming, an industrial robot was programmed using RoboDK’s simulation software. ESPRIT and RoboDK, a powerful combination of toolpath programming and robot digital twin with post-processing and analysis capabilities, were used to create the final part.
