Omron Automation Americas said it will offer an interactive booth showcasing systems that address industry-wide operational issues: easing labor shortages and enhancing productivity at PACK EXPO 2022.
Kyoto, Japan-based Omron said its booth will feature a flexible system that combines pick-and-place, materials transport, and end-of-line systems — including mobile robots, high-speed Quattro robots, and collaborative robots.
“We understand operational excellence is critical to business success, and that’s exactly what you will experience demoing our integrated solution at Omron Booth S-3832 at PACK EXPO this year, said Laura Studwell, Omron’s industry marketing manager for packaging.
What to see at the Omron booth
Omron Automation said it will offer the following experiences:
- Interactions with collaborative robots for applications such pick and place and palletizing; visitors can get hands-on experience teaching Omron TM-series cobots to perform a variety of tasks.
- Attendees interested in palletizing operations can see an autonomous logistics setup including an Omron LD autonomous mobile robot (AMR) transporting boxes from the processing stage to the Omron TM-series cobot, which then builds a pallet ready for its final destination.
- For an all-in-one automation solution, the Omron Sysmac platform drives the booth, from motion and control to safety and vision – creating a flexible and centralized system, from processing to palletizing.
Packaging and logistics industry professionals can see Omron's systems from Oct. 23 through 26 at the McCormick Place Convention Center in Chicago.
