HAI Robotics today announced that it is partnering with Invar System to expand its global presence and offer its warehouse fulfillment technology in markets where Invar is more established.
“The partnership will be able to offer warehouse operators a unique and innovative solution that delivers higher fulfillment volumes at lower operation costs and with better distribution efficiency,” stated Kane Luo, vice president of sales at HAI Robotics.
Founded in 2016, HAI Robotics said it provides efficient, intelligent, flexible, and customized supply chain automation through robotics and artificial intelligence. The Shenzhen, China-based company recently raised $200 million in Series C and D funding. It also won the robotics category in the 2021 NextGen Supply Chain Solution Provider Awards, presented by Supply Chain Management Review, a sibling site to Robotics 24/7.
Cranfield, U.K.-based Invar Group said it delivers turnkey warehouse automation using industrial robotics, autonomous mobile robots (AMRs) and goods-to-person systems, pick-to-light technology, and sortation systems, as well as conventional automation.
The group includes Invar Systems, a developer of warehouse management systems (WMSes). It also includes Invar Integration (Greenstone Systems), which specializes in solutions design, hardware integration, and project management, and Invar Controls, which designs, implements, and maintains programmable logic controller (PLC) software and hardware.
HAI Robotics ACR to connect with Invar WMS
HAI Robotics and Invar said they will work together to ensure that HAI's autonomous case-handling robots (ACR) seamlessly connect with Invar's WMS to provide customers with a more efficient, cost-effective intralogistics solution.
The companies said their joint offering will address the dramatically growing demand for order fulfillment as warehouses face mounting pressure to upgrade their storage and fulfillment capacity from the online shopping boom.
HAI Robotics launched its first HAIPICK system in 2015 and now has more than 300 ACR projects operating globally. The company said its flexible robots can pick and place totes or cartons on storage shelves up to 10 m (32.8 ft.) high and carry up to eight loads to continuously feed goods-to-person picking stations.
One of the company's new launches at CeMAT Asia 2021, the HAIPICK A3 Fork-lifting ACR allows wider storage scenarios in which goods are not necessarily placed inside a box, such as tires and trays. The robot can provide larger storage possibilities and better rack-space utilization, said HAI Robotics.
The A3 robot uses simultaneous localization and mapping (SLAM) navigation technology, enabling more operations where humans are present, said the company. The system is also suitable for environments requiring strict controls for dust, static, and pollution, it added.
The company said HAIPICK has been implemented in e-commerce, third-party logistics (3PL), apparel, electronics, energy, manufacturing, medicine, and other industries, with over 300 live projects worldwide. Some notable overseas customers include DHL Supply Chain, Phillips, Booktopia, GE, and HP.
Also at CeMAT Asia, HAI Robotics announced its HAIPORT system, an automatic case-loading port that loads and unloads cases simultaneously.
Invar widens reach of warehouse automation
Invar also has an extensive network of global customers and has been recognized for its WMS and automation integration capabilities.

The strategic tie with Invar is HAI Robotics' second in Europe, following its alliance with France-based Savoye.
