There will be plenty of discussions about automating supply chains at ProMat 2023, but many operations are just getting started with robotics. GreyOrange Inc. yesterday said it will share automation strategies, live demonstrations, and expert networking opportunities in Chicago next week.
“At GreyOrange, we’ve been solving challenges for the world’s leading brands for more than a decade,” stated Samay Kohli, co-founder and CEO of GreyOrange.
“Preparing for both upcoming obstacles and scaling needs keeps our customers agile and pivot-ready when circumstances change,” he added. “GreyMatter, our multiagent orchestration platform, gives customers the freedom to choose the ‘best-of-breed’ fulfillment technology that fits their needs, no matter the vendor.”
Founded in 2012, GreyOrange said offers the GreyMatter hardware-agnostic fulfillment orchestration platform, as well as proprietary and certified third-party hardware.
The Atlanta-based company said GreyMatter can help increase productivity, empower growth, mitigate labor challenges, and reduce risk and time to market. GreyOrange has more than 800 employees with offices and partners across the Americas, Europe, and Asia.
GreyOrange to discuss automation strategies
Within the next few years, about half of companies will intralogistics robots from various vendors, noted GreyOrange, citing recent projections from Gartner Inc. analyst Dwight Klappich and Interact Analysis analyst Rueben Scriven.
Gartner also said that by 2026, more than half of companies using intralogistics robots will use a multiagent orchestration platform containing an open API control multi-vendor fleets.
GreyOrange claimed that GreyMatter is just such a platform to equip companies for solutions to future problems. It can respond to customer orders, make assignments, and balance workloads in real time according to fulfillment needs, said the company.
In the ProMat session on “Demystifying Fulfillment Automation,” GreyOrange will describe next steps for business leaders interested in investing in and implementing automation. The company said it will discuss use-case research, needs assessments, and scale analyses as tools to help attendees make informed decisions for their operations.
The session will be on Monday, March 20, at 3:15 p.m. CT in the Robotics Theater on the ProMat show floor in McCormick Place. GreyOrange said seminar attendees can expect to discuss:
- Resources necessary to intelligently invest in automation, including situational and operational analysis
- Operations and applications that are a good fit for robotics
- Automation from all operational levels
