Autonomous mobile robots continue to spread through facilities across the Americas, thanks to corporate partnerships. Geekplus America Inc. today announced that it has expanded its presence in South America with strategic partner Körber Supply Chain. The company said it will debut its intelligent robots at Elevate Brazil 2022 this week in Sao Paolo, the first time Geek+'s goods-to-person systems will be showcased in Brazil.
“We are thrilled to take the next step in our partnership with Körber Supply Chain to strengthen our growing presence in South America,” stated Randy Randolph, vice president of channels and partnerships at Geek+ Americas. “This deepened partnership allows us to continue to support customers across the continent with flexible robotic solutions that can help them maximize warehouse throughput and meet increased consumer expectations.”
Founded in 2015, Geek+ said it applies robotics and artificial intelligence to systems for warehouses and supply chain management. The company said it provides autonomous mobile robots (AMRs) has more than 500 customers worldwide.
Beijing-based Geek+ has more than 1,500 employees and has offices in China, the U.K., Germany, Japan, South Korea, and Singapore. Its Americas headquarters are in Carlsbad, Calif.
Körber ready for regional expansion
To help supply chain operators with growing complexity, Körber said it provides a “wide range of proven, end-to-end systems fitting any business size, strategy, or appetite for growth.”
The Minneapolis-based Business Area Supply Chain is part of Hamburg, German-based Körber AG. The company claimed that it can deliver not just software, but also automation, voice, robotics, and materials handling technology, plus the expertise to tie it all together.
With offices in Brazil, Chile, and Mexico, Körber Supply Chain said it helps many of the largest and most sophisticated companies in Latin America deliver superior service to their customers.
“We are excited to bring, this new era of intelligent and flexible robots to Brazil,” said Helcio Lenz, managing director for Körber Supply Chain in Latin America. “The unique solutions we provide together with our partner Geek+ will support our customers in the region to conquer their supply chain complexities and stay ahead of the competition.”
Partners provide automation experience in Brazil
Geek+ and Körber Supply Chain have already implemented warehouse automation across retail, apparel, e-commerce, and third-party logistics customers all over the world.
With their combined expertise in robotics, warehouse management software (WMS), and integration, the companies claimed that they ;will provide clients in Brazil and all of South America the latest systems to augment their supply chain operations.
After Elevate Brazil, Geek+ goods-to-person robots will be in operation at Körber Supply Chain's innovation center in Campinas, Brazil. The partners said they will continue to work closely to help a wide range of customers address labor challenges while maximizing warehouse productivity and storage density with AMRs.
Systemex to offer Geek+ AMRs in North America
Last week, Geek+ announced a stategic partnership with Systemex Automation, a Laval, Quebec-based systems integrator. Systemex will offer its customers Geek+'s full portfolio of picking, moving, sorting, and storage systems.
“We are delighted to ally with Systemex Automation as their first AMR partner in North America,” said Randolph. “This is another milestone in our expansion in the Americas, continuing our strategy of working with trusted partners to scale our deployments and offer customers the flexible automation solutions they need to achieve their goals.”
Systemex Automation plans to provide AMRs to its customers that can not only aid logistics processes, but also improve operational efficiency, reduce costs, and address current labor shortages.

Geek+ touted recent innovations, including its latest goods-to-person solution, PopPick, which made its North American debut at MODEX 2022. It also released Sky-Storage & Ground-Pick, which combines four-way shuttles for reserve pallet storage with Geek+'s P-series picking robots for forward picking.
