GeekPlus Technology Co. today announced that it has reached an industry milestone with 20,000 autonomous mobile robots sold worldwide. The Beijing-based company said its technology provides rapid growth capabilities to accelerate the transformation of the global supply chain.
“In past months, we've seen worldwide curiosity turn into action with numerous business leaders deciding to invest in intelligent automation,” stated Yong Zheng, founder and CEO of Geek+. “For us, the rapid growth demonstrates our R&D team's ability to develop world-class solutions and signals future opportunities to gather more industry know-how. Our goal is to improve our customer's operation management and continue to drive change using advanced robotics and strong AI.”
Founded in 2015, Geek+ said it applies robotics and artificial intelligence to help warehouses and supply chains be more efficient. The supply chain technology company said it has more than 300 global customers and 1,500 employees, as well as offices in Germany, the U.K., the U.S., Japan, China and Hong Kong, and Singapore.
Geek+ builds on commercial success
In the past two years, Geek+ said it has automated the warehouses of some of the world's best-known brands such as Decathlon, Nike, Circle K, Walmart, and ASDA. The company claimed that it has the largest share of the global autonomous mobile robot (AMR) market with operations in 30 countries. Geek+ plans to continue to strengthen its regional capabilities by teaming up with local as well as global integrators.
Building upon its goods-to-person picking robot, Geek+ now offers a wide range of hardware systems. It said its product line includes the award-winning, bin-to-person RoboShuttle, as well as sorting, materials handling, and lifting robots.
“We are not just an AMR provider, but [also] a long-term automation partner that continuously optimizes the operations of our customers,” added Yong Zheng. “It is done by strengthening our local service capabilities but also by simply analyzing robots in action and using the data gathered to optimize the algorithm powering our robots. It helps customers overcome logistics bottlenecks and gain short- and long-term efficiency improvements, allowing them to grow and expand their business.”
Geek+ added that its staff includes hundreds of engineers, a fully automated factory with robots making robots, and its very own third-party logistics (3PL) services in China.
With opportunities for large-scale experiments and first-hand experience with various challenges, the company said it has adopted a holistic approach that will continue to help customers achieve fast-track growth and transform the world of logistics.
