Epson to Exhibit SCARA and Six-Axis Robots at ATX West 2023

Epson said its GX-Series SCARA robots are designed for assembly, pick and place, and small-parts handling processes.
Epson Robots said it will show its GX-Series SCARA robots for complex and demanding tasks, as well as high-performance six-axis robots and RC+ Express application development software.

Epson Robots this week announced that it plans to demonstrate its robotics lineup at ATX West, which will take place on Feb. 7 through 9, 2023, in Anaheim, Calif. It offers education and robots to help new and experienced automation professionals meet their factory automation needs.

Epson Robots claimed that it is the No. 1 SCARA robot manufacturer in the world, with more than 150,000 units sold worldwide through 2021. The company said it offers hundreds of models of SCARA and six-axis robots based on a common PC platform.

With four decades of experience, Epson Robots offers robots for precision assembly and materials handling applications. It serves the aerospace, appliance, automotive, biotechnology, consumer product, electronics, food processing, medical device, pharmaceutical, plastics, semiconductor, and telecommunication industries.

Epson Robots to exhibit lineup at ATX West

Epson Robots said it will show its high-performance systems for the medical device, electronics, and consumer electronics markets at Booth 4432 at ATX West. The company listed the following automation:

  • High-power-density GX-Series SCARA robots with patented GYROPLUS technology, designed for complex and demanding tasks
  • Compact, high-performance six-axis robots, optimized for flexibility and reliability
  • No-code, easy-to-use RC+ Express application development software for simple and effective integration

Event attendees will also have a chance to see demonstrations of Epson's integrated IntelliFlex Parts Feeding System, including machine vision and parts handling, it said.

Epson Robots is a unit of Epson Group, which is led by Japan-based Seiko Epson Corp. and reported annual sales of more than ¥1 trillion ($7.7 billion U.S.). The company's regional headquarters for the Americas is Epson America Inc. in Los Alamitos, Calif.


Epson RC+ Express Edition is GUI software that allows users without specialized knowledge of industrial robots to program robots.
