The new SynDaver Axi 3D printer went on sale beginning today for more than $1,000 off the manufacturer’s suggested retail price, the company announced in late November.
The Axi, which is used byprofessionals and general consumers, normally retails for $3,250, but went on sale for $2,195 beginning now in honor of Black Friday and Cyber Monday.
The SynDaver Axi is made in America and features a large color touchscreen; a heated, automatic self-leveling and removable bed plate; an E3D Hemera toolhead; all of which allows for precision and dimensional accuracy. Unlike many 3D printers, the Axi can print large volume builds to the full size of the print bed with edge-to-edge printing. It is also quiet, features a 3-year manufacturer’s warranty and comes with free U.S.-based customer and technical support.
“We want to wish everyone a happy and safe Thanksgiving, and a joyous holiday season, and we figured offering massive savings off of our top-of-the-line printer would be a good gesture to do that,” says Dr. Christopher Sakezles, founder and CEO of SynDaver, a science and technology company based in Tampa, FL.
The Axi is the first 3D printer produced by SynDaver, which entered the 3D printer space earlier this year when they leveraged talent from a well-Colorado 3D printing company that closed down in late 2019.
SynDaver is expected to unveil several new 3D printer lines in 2021, but the company is not expected to release any further details until after the new year.
Anyone interested in purchasing a SynDaver Axi can do so on SynDaver’s website or through one of the official channel partners, which include 3D Printlife, IT-Works 3D, Makerwiz, Midwest Technology, Printed Solid, Mouser and Amazon.
SynDaver’s synthetic humans, animal models and task trainers simulate the anatomy of live patients in detail, including individual muscles, tendons, veins, arteries, nerves and organ systems. The company’s synthetic tissues are made of water, fibers and salts, and each has been validated against the relevant living tissue for mechanical and physical properties.
