Enterprise software provider Manhattan Associates Inc. recently announced Schneider Electric has chosen Manhattan Active Warehouse Management and Manhattan Active Transportation Management for its global distribution and transportation network
The global energy management and industrial automation company chose the software as part of an ongoing business-wide transformation strategy, the Manhattan Associates said.
Manhattan Active Supply Chain combines the Manhattan Active warehouse management system (WMS) and Manhattan Active transportation management system (TMS).
Cloud-native management software to bring centralized control
“After 12 successful years with a Manhattan WMS, we decided to update to Manhattan Active Warehouse Management and extend it with Manhattan Active Transportation Management,” said Stuart Michael Whiting, SVP of GSC Logistics and planning at Schneider Electric. “Adopting these two cloud-native solutions represents a significant step forward for our supply chain execution, as well as another exciting stride forward for the ongoing business-wide transformation journey.”
The software will be implemented at over 20 distribution centers. Schneider Electric plans to deploy Manhattan Active TM across at least 200 operational sites.
“Upgrading to Manhattan’s unified supply chain solution will give Schneider centralized control over its distribution, transportation, labor, and automation,” said Henri Seroux, SVP, EMEA at Manhattan Associates.
Unifying both warehouse and transportation through Manhattan Active Supply Chain can bring maximum inventory performance, operational efficiency, and workforce agility, the Manhattan Associates said.
