ResGreen Group International Inc. this week announced that it will exhibit its LilBuddy mobile robots and BotWay open-architecture software at ProMat 2023. The event takes place from March 20 to 23 at McCormick Place in Chicago.
“ProMat is the perfect show to highlight the easy integration and advanced technology of our AMRs [autonomous mobile robots], AGVs [automated guided vehicles] and software,” stated Parsh Patel, CEO of ResGreen Group.
“Most AGV and AMR companies provide their own closed operating systems for their vehicles and software,” he noted. “This makes it very difficult to communicate with equipment and vehicles from other manufacturers, as well as outside software.”
“At ResGreen, we use the Internet of Things (IoT), MQTT communications, and Robot Operating System (ROS) to design products that easily connect with other devices, workers, and systems,” Patel said.
LilBuddy AMR to be at ProMat 2023
ResGreen Group will demonstrate its products with ProGlove in Booth S4971 at ProMat. The LilBuddy AMR uses natural-feature simultaneous localization and mapping (SLAM) guidance to move loads up to 220 lb. (100 kg) without tape, reflectors, or tags for flexibility, it said.
The company added that LilBuddy has a 17 x 17-in. base, making it is one of the smallest AMRs in the industry. The vehicle’s size and ability to rotate 360 degrees make it suitable for congested environments with narrow aisles, according to ResGreen.
In addition, it will show the BotWay interoperable traffic management and monitoring software. BotWay can control AGVs, AMRs, and industrial automation, even devices from other manufacturers, said ResGreen.
At ProMat, attendees will be able to see see how easy BotWay is to install, integrate, and modify, the company claimed.
ResGreen Group updates software
Shelby Township, Mich.-based ResGreen Group provides automated material handling systems, including software, mobile robots, and industrial automation. The company said it focuses on connectivity and collaboration, as well as Industry 4.0 and 5.0.
Last month, ResGreen announced that it has engineered and installed 12 outlets that enable Stanley, a leading automotive supplier, to project stop signs on the floor of its facility in London, Ohio. The signs work with BotWay to indicate to floor associates and fork truck drivers that an AGV is approaching.

In January, ResGreen unveiled an application programming interface (API) using the REST architecture to more easily integrate BotWay with other software.
“BotWay’s REST API benefits our customers by making it easier for BotWay to integrate with other software systems such as warehouse management systems (WMS), manufacturing executive systems (MES), and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems,” said Patel. “Our goal is to make BotWay the most interoperable and easy-to-use software in the industry from its REST API to remote interface and simulation capability.”
The company has also updated BotWay's command structure for easier device integration and added a configurable archiving system for data such as performance and other metrics.
