OPEX will show its Infinity automated storage and retrieval system, Sure Sort sortation system, and Perfect Pick goods-to-person system and participate in sessions in Chicago next week.

OPEX Corp. today said it will exhibit its warehouse automation at the ProMat manufacturing and supply chain trade show from March 20 to 23. The company said its experts will showcase the Infinity automated storage and retrieval system, or ASRS.

“Today’s high-volume warehouses demand that goods move through the supply chain with accuracy at lightning speed,” said Alex Stevens, president of warehouse automation at OPEX. “At ProMat, we look forward to demonstrating in person how our systems help e-commerce and other industry clients transform the way they do business now, while also offering solutions to guide their future.”

Moorestown, N.J.-based OPEX said it provides innovations for warehouse, document, and mail automation. The company said it has more than 1,600 employees and offices in Pennsauker, N.J., and Plano, Texas, as well as France, Germany, Switzerland, the U.K., and Australia.

OPEX to show Infinity, Sure Sort, and Perfect Pick

At Booth S2712 in Chicago's McCormick Place, OPEX plans to show how the Infinity goods-to-person ASRS is designed for flexibility and scalability in both throughput and storage. The system features triple-deep, high-density racking along with a fleet of robots that can access inventory from any the storage location, it said.

Infinity, which runs on the OPEX Cortex software, is suitable for e-commerce, micro-fulfillment, store replenishment, and omni-channel distribution, the company claimed. Introduced in March 2022, the Infinity ASRS is a finalist for the 2023 MHI Innovation Award for Best New Innovation. Winners will be announced during the expo.

In addition, OPEX will also feature Sure Sort, which it described as “a compact, configurable, and cost-effective small-item sorting solution.”

The company will also offer ProMat attendees a virtual reality (VR) experience of its Perfect Pick goods-to-person system designed for e-commerce fulfillment and micro-fulfillment. Perfect Pick can reduce reliance on labor while utilizing a warehouse’s vertical space to increase throughput, reliability, and effectiveness, said OPEX.

ProMat presentations to come

OPEX added that its experts will lead presentations on the industry topics. John Sauer, senior director of global business development at OPEX Warehouse Automation, will join Art Eldred, vice president and growth officer at OPEX partner Vargo. They will discuss “Maximizing Flexible Automation Benefits” in Theater C at 1:30 p.m. CT on Monday, March 20.

Drew Stevens, vice president of global business development and marketing at OPEX, will talk about “The Cost of Not Automating Your Warehouse” in Theater B at 3:45 p.m. CT on Tuesday, March 21.

ProMat attendees can schedule personalized meetings with OPEX team members any day during the event.
