Omron Automation Americas yesterday said it will show its latest systems in “an integrated, intelligent, and interactive experience” at Automate 2023 next week in Detroit. The company said that attendees will be able to speak with its experts about innovations to increase productivity and enhance the flexibility of processes in the food and commodity, automotive, electronics, and life science industries.
“We are excited to participate in Automate and connect with existing and future customers,” stated Jeff Hall, vice president of global strategic sales at Omron Automation Americas. “Our participation in this event allows us to not only highlight our global strategy, but also demonstrate how we can assist our customers in optimizing their manufacturing processes for greater efficiency and success.”
Established in 1933, Omron Automation creates, sells, and services fully integrated systems for sensing, control, safety, vision, motion, robotics, and more. The Hoffman Estates, Ill.-based company said its 30,000 employees creatively help businesses solve problems in more than 110 countries.
Omron to demonstrate software, robotics
Omron plans to show at Booth 1049 offerings including its Sysmac platform, SCARA and mobile robot technology, and advanced machine vision. Its planned demonstrations will include:
- Sysmac Studio and the new NX502 controller for simplifying programming, simulation, and monitoring on the Sysmac Platform
- Robotics Integrated Controller (RIC), which features an i4H SCARA robot using an integrated FH vision system to precisely pick parts from a part feeder
- A new handheld barcode reader that can use patented technology, to automatically adjust and read even the most difficult direct part marked barcodes
More robots, partners at Automate
In addition to the Omron booth, Omron certified systems integrator RAMP Inc. will display autonomous handling using the company's mobile robot technology at Booth 903.
Visitors can also stop by Omron's booth to obtain a list of its channel partners and systems integrators exhibiting at Automate. The trade show and conference will take place from May 22 to 25 at the Huntington Place convention center.
