Robot manufacturer Yaskawa Motoman recently announced it will demonstrate robotic parcel induction as well as cobot arms at MODEX 2024 in booth C6474.

The Company said its automation integration team will be in attendance to evaluate application requirements and help design a plan for potential customers.

“Our booth will feature multiple robot demonstrations to inspire businesses to future-proof their operations for long-term success, including applications for palletizing and parcel sortation,” said Sarah Andrzejewski Product Manager.

The trade show will be held March 11-14 at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta, GA.

Robot arms for automated and collaborative applications

Yaskawa Motoman will demonstrate the following robots at MODEX 2024:

Robotic Parcel Induction with GP12

Yaskawa Motoman’s GP12 pick-and-place robot arm is enabled by Plus One Robotics’ PickOne Perception Kit, which uses 2D and 3D machine vision and AI algorithms to identify every pickable item in view before assigning placement locations.

The Demonstration will also include conveyors from Dynamic Conveyor Corporation (DynaCon) and Dorner, along with safety guarding from Advanced Machine Guarding Solutions (AMGS).

Collaborative Palletizing with HC30PL

Yaskawa Motoman said its HC30PL cobot arm is designed for palletizing tasks on medium-volume lines. The plug-and-play cobot can be set up through hand-guided programming, with capabilities that permit fenceless operation.

The company said its HC30PL can operate in four collaborative modes to accommodate fluctuating demands, ranging from a collaborative speed in PFL mode up to full speed in industrial mode.

The HC30PL features a 1,700 mm maximum reach, a 30 kg payload capacity, an easy-to-clean surface, and NSF H1 certified food-grade grease as standard. A Schmalz dual FQE gripper handles boxes.

HC10 Collaborative Mobile Workstation

Yaskawa Motoman will also demonstrate its HC10 Workstation with a hand-guided cobot arm: the HC10DTP. The workstation is also compatible with other cobot arms in the HC10 line, including the HC10, HC10DT, HC10XP and HC10DTP collaborative robot models.

The company said its HC10 Workstation is mobile, compact, and includes internal cable management. The demonstration will also include Smart Pendant with Pallet Builder, an interface for optimizing palletization jobs.
