Hy-Tek Intralogistics last week said it has partnered with Hai Robotics to combine Hy-Tek's IntraOne enterprise logistics platform with Hai Robotics' automated storage and retrieval systems, or ASRS. The companies said their joint offering will help reduce customers' storage footprints, increase workflow efficiency, maximize picking efficiency, and improve daily order-fulfillment rates.
“We are excited to start our partnership with Hai, an up-and-coming innovator for the G2P [goods-to-person] space,” said Zac Boehm, vice president of robotic solutions at Hy-Tek Intralogistics, in a release. “By formalizing our partnership, it allows Hy-Tek to add to its existing solutions with a technology that allows for an earlier entry point with customers looking to adopt G2P technologies, further enforcing our goal to meet our customers where they are in their automation journey.”
Since 1963, Hy-Tek said that has provided large and small businesses with customized materials handling and storage systems, as well as pre-assembled buildings and off-the-shelf products.
The Columbus, Ohio-based company said its experienced team of engineering, sales, operations, and project management professionals partners with customers to help enhance productivity, streamline processes, and boost profitability.
Hy-Tek integrates supply chain systems
Hy-Tek Intralogistics serves clients in markets including e-commerce, third-party logistics (3PL), and parcel. The automation integrator said it supports industries including manufacturing, distribution, retail, construction, food, electronics, and automotive. With more than 500 employees, Hy-Tek serves customers across North America with offices in seven states.
Changing economic conditions, an increasingly tight labor market, and consumer spending habits require today's supply chains to be adaptable and provide a faster return on investment (ROI) than in the past, noted the company.
Hy-Tek said that Hai's technologies, including its new HaiFlex and HaiPick A3 systems, will allow it to serve customers faster than ever.
“The Hai technology allows us to provide solutions that require fast startups, future scalability, and competitive costs,” said Dave Tavel, senior vice president of sales at Hy-Tek. “There is no reason to delay your adoption of robotics as a strategy for fulfillment.”

Hai Robotics increases storage density
“Hy-Tek has been a strong organization in the market since before I began my career,” said Brian Reinhart, chief revenue officer at Hai Robotics. “I've always had a lot of respect for the quality of their solutions, equipment, and systems.”
“Hy-Tek's commitment to growth and integration has positioned the company to be an industry leader for years to come, and Hai Robotics, having done the same on the manufacturing side, is very excited about the partnership,” he said.
Hai Robotics said its ASRS provides modern storage density, reaches up to 32 feet (10 m) high, and can reduce customer's storage footprints by up to 75%. The system can improve workforce efficiency by up to four times, maximize order-pick accuracy by 99.9%, and improve the daily rate of order fulfillment by over 170%, it claimed.
The Fremont, Calif.-based company said its Autonomous Case-handling Robots (ACR) maximize the use of vertical space. They are independent of any storage medium, allowing the ASRS to be constructed of almost any industry-standard racking structure with most kinds and sizes of bins, trays, cardboard cartons, and a variety of containers and materials, said Hai.
Warehouses, distribution centers, and factories in the apparel, retail, e-commerce, and 3PL industries can use its systems to improve operational efficiency, the company added.
