As drones become more rugged and sophisticated for a variety of commercial applications, technology providers are partnering to enter new markets. Microdrones this week announced that Gulf Testing Solutions Enterprise LLC is the latest addition to its global distribution network. The companies will offer equipment and services in the sultanate of Oman.

“Our customers need high-end aerial surveying solutions,” says Suresh Muthu Kumar, manager of business development at Gulf Testing Solutions (GTS). “We have a number of mining, roads, asphalt, and infrastructure projects that will greatly benefit from the addition of the Microdrones lidar and photogrammetric technology.”

Established in 2018, Gulf Testing Solutions is a certified testing, inspection, quality control, and surveying services provider in Muscat, Oman. The company provides a range of specialized engineering services in materials testing, materials technology, quality control of projects, chemical and microbiology testing, and surveying.

Microdroes provides drones, data transformation

Microdrones said it grew out of the collaboration between the German inventor of the world’s first commercial quadcopter and a determined surveying payload and software developer in North America. Microdrones, which has offices in Siegen, Germany, and Rome, N.Y., said it delivers mapping systems specifically developed for the surveying, mining, construction, oil and gas, and precision agriculture industries.

The company said its integrated systems address complex mapping challenges. They rely on a fully integrated geospatial workflow that enables the company's software to transform raw data collected by its equipment in the field into high-quality, survey-grade data. Microdrones claimed that it is widely recognized for its lidar technology leadership.

Microdrones has engineering centers and manufacturing facilities in Germany, Canada, France, China, and the U.S. It said its sales, support, and distribution network spans six continents.

Gulf Testing Solutions offers drone services now

Gulf Testing Solutions said it has three core business verticals to meet a range of client needs. They include multi-disciplinary laboratory services; surveying services; and survey equipment, rental, and calibration services.

The company said its technical staff and equipment reflect its commitment to quality, cost-effectiveness, and safety compliance. GTS added that its team is dedicated to solving the most difficult engineering challenges for public and private companies, construction contractors, and property developers.

GTS said Microdrones Integrated Systems are available now, and they include everything a commercial user would need to get started with drones for surveying and mapping. This includes the unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV), the sensors, the software, and the hardware.

From unmanned aerial photogrammetry to lidar and area concern maps, Microdrones distributors can have access to a full lineup of products that meet the needs of survey, construction, engineering and geomatics professionals.
