Autonomous mobile robot (AMR) provider ForwardX Robotics recently announced the launch of its Flex 300-SCB Mini person-to-goods picking robot.
Designed specifically for ultra-narrow aisles, ForwardX said its Flex 300-SCB Mini addresses one of the biggest challenges in warehouse management: optimizing space utilization without compromising efficiency.
Automation solutions often struggle to navigate narrow aisles in warehouse settings. However, the company said the latest product in its Flex series has the potential to make these concerns a thing of the past.
The Flex 300-SCB Mini measures 31.5 inches long, 18.9 inches wide, and the overall height is under 56 inches.
ForwardX said it is committed to continuous innovation and that this new product is a testament to its dedication.
Optional tools include receipt printer, barcode scanner
Features of the Flex 300-SCB Mini include:
- Compact Design: The Flex 300-SCB Mini’s smaller body dimensions can allow it to navigate tight spaces, making it ideal for picking and sorting tasks.
- No Renovation Required: ForwardX said its Flex 300-SCB Mini can seamlessly integrate into existing setups without the hassle and expense of warehouse renovations and rack reinstallations.
- Advanced Safety: Equipped with three lidar sensors and computer vision with simultaneous localization and mapping (SLAM) technology, the Flex 300-SCB Mini offers 360-degree obstacle recognition and avoidance, which ForwardX said can ensure a safe working environment.
- Order Picking: The Flex 300-SCB Mini features an optional printer for receipts and a barcode scanner for real-time order updates, which ForwardX said can make picking easier than ever.
ForwardX also announced that it will be introducing its new deck-lifting AMR, the Flex 300-L Mini, next week.
