The Association for Advancing Automation (A3) will focus on the latest technology and application advances for humanoid robots at its upcoming Humanoid Robot Forum.
The new educational conference will be held Oct. 7 in conjunction with A3’s Autonomous Mobile Robots and Logistics Conference, sponsored by FedEx, on October 8-10, both at the Renasant Convention Center in Memphis, Tenn.
A3 said its previous Autonomous Mobile Robots and Logistics Conference in 2021 attracted over 650 industry leaders. A3 also held a panel discussion on humanoid robots at Automate 2024 in Chicago.
“With all of the new developments in humanoid robots, we believe the timing is right for the industry’s first humanoid robot forum,” said Jeff Burnstein, A3 president. “Our focus will be on the present state of the technology, current humanoid applications in logistics and manufacturing, and the future outlook for humanoids in industry as well as in our daily lives.”
Keynote speakers from Agility, Apptronic, HaptX, NEURA
Keynote speakers are scheduled to include Agility Robotics chief product officer Melonee Wise, and Apptronik CEO Jeffrey Cardenas. Agility recently announced a multi-year commercial humanoid deployment agreement with GXO, and Cardenas spoke at a panel discussion on humanoids at the 2024 Robotics Invest Summit in Boston.
Additional keynote speakers will include HaptX chief product officer Joe Michaels, and NEURA Robotics founder and CEO David Reger. The full lineup of speakers will be announced this summer.
A3’s Humanoid Robot Forum will feature talks on enabling technologies such as AI, machine vision, grasping and motion control, as well as safety considerations for humanoid robot applications.
Key topics listed on the event page on A3’s website include optimizing production efficiency, advanced robotics in assembly and production, human-robot collaboration, safety considerations in robotics, along with future trends and predictions.
A3 said anyone interested in participating at its Humanoid Robot Forum as a speaker, exhibitor, sponsor, or attendee should visit the event page for more information.
